About
I am a composer and percussionist currently studying music and math at Swarthmore College. My recent music has dealt primarily with ideas relating to the economy of musical material and (de)constructing formal structures, while exploring a plethora of different aesthetics. My pieces are frequently inspired by literature, history, and other works of art; how we create modern art in this period of modernity is fascinating to me.
On the math side of things, I’m most interested in modeling, PDEs, and emergent behavior. So far, math and music have remained relatively separate interests; one day, I’ll make a piece about the Ising model or something, but that day is a long ways off.
